If you are experiencing performance issues with Flex it could be a number of different infrastructure or environment situations that are having a negative impact. Please answer the following questions and send them to support@lookout-software.com. We will do our best to help.
Server Environment
- Farm topology?
- SharePoint Server specifications, such as CPU, RAM etc.
- Are you running Flex on a VM shared with multiple other VM systems?
- Are you running any other resource-intensive applications on the server such as Exchange etc.?
- Are you running any other third party web parts in this same Site Collection?
- Are you running any other SharePoint sites that require a lot of resources?
- How many users are hitting Flex at any given time?
- How many users are hitting the SharePoint Farm at any given time?
After Initial Load
- How may total items do you have in Flex?
- Are you using Connections in any sub-grids?
- Do you use Lookup columns? If so, how many?
- List the number of items in these lists:Accounts, Contacts, Tasks, Interactions, Documents and Audit Log.
- How long does it taking to do the following:
- Display the Account List?
- Open an Account item?
- Save a change to an Account item?
- Display the Contacts list?
- Open a Contact item?
- Save a change to a Contact item?
- Display Interactions list?
- Open an Interaction item?
- Save a change to an Interaction item?
- Get a result using the Quick Search?
- If you can send a video of the user performing steps is helpful.
- If possible, send us details to log in to your site.
