The Flex Interaction is a fundamental and powerful part of the system’s usefulness and makes tracking communication history easy and efficient.
Using Flex’s various features and functions within the Interactions List, details can be efficiently captured. Here is a summary of such details:
- An Interaction is a child item that can easily be related to any parent item, such as an Account, Contact, Contract, Case, Project or Opportunity.
- Interactions always roll up to the top level parent item (ie. Account) even when related to a Sub-parent, such as an Opportunity, Case or Project.
- An Interaction can be used to log details of a sales meeting, a service related phone call, an email enclosing a Quote, or any other activity that requires logging into a centralized repository for knowledge management.
- Interactions tell the “historical” story vs. the “future” story (ie. Tasks and Calendar Items).
- An Interaction can be created from an email using the Outlook Plugin either sending or receiving.
- An Interaction can have attachments (documents, etc.) uploaded to it.
- Interactions can be added via the Outlook Plugin, the Create New Menu, Quick Search, Quick Actions, Custom menus, Action Bars and Sub-Grids making it an efficient and easy tool to use.
