Import Tasks Setup

To manage the “Import Tasks” process in the Flex Outlook Plugin add the following Advanced Flex Settings.

Setting Name: OutlookPluginImportTasks
Setting Value: True/False/ Create a list of user names allowed to perform this function – each on its own row

If the Setting Value is set to “True” then the Import Tasks button will appear for all users on their Outlook Plugin toolbar.

To enable this feature for specific users only add their names to each row of the Value box.

To disable this Setting either remove it or change the Value to “False”.

Import List View

This following Setting controls which Tasks List View is used when importing Tasks from Flex to Outlook. The default is “My Active Tasks”. To change the List View, enter it in the Setting Value box.

Setting Name: OutlookPluginImportTasksViewName
Setting Value: My Active Tasks (default)

The View should be filtered by [Me] to ensure that each user only imports their own tasks.

Once the Setting is added and the user restarts Outlook, the Plugin Toolbar item “Import Tasks” will be available. When the user clicks the Import Tasks button, items that are included in their List view such as “My Active Tasks” are imported into the “Flex Tasks” folder now created in Outlook.

Note: This is not a synchronization. Each time the button is clicked the items will be overwritten with the latest Flex Task list.
