Even if your “team” is a Project Team of Two, by considering the various roles outlined below, you will know which areas of the business must be reviewed throughout the process.
Although we have identified the Steps in an order, once the process gets past Step One, it is common to go back and forth throughout Steps Two through Five. Don’t be concerned – this is normal.
Flex Implementations are best seen as continuous improvement projects. Set realistic and achievable goals to see each step successfully accomplished. Maintain a log of the improvements to review the progress that has been accomplished.
Client-Side IT Project Leader
This individual is responsible for managing your SharePoint sites. Although there may be several of these individuals, this person (or persons) is more involved at the application layer than infrastructure.
Client-Side Business Analyst Project Leader
This individual (could be multiple people but should not exceed a reasonable number for decision-making purposes – perhaps 6) has inside knowledge of the organization’s sales processes and customer relationship requirements. The role requires the authority to make decisions around processes and procedures on behalf of the organization.
Client-Side Application Administrator
This Individual bridges the gap between the IT Project Leader and the Business Analyst Project Leader. This person has been given authority to ensure that Flex Application is used correctly and will communicate with Project Leaders as required to ensure that the objectives of the organization are met and the system properly used on a day by day basis.
LookOut Implementation Consultant
This role is carried out by a Flex Software Consultant that may belong to the Professional services team at LookOut Software or one of its Reseller Partners. This individual coaches the Client Side team on steps, processes and procedures to ensure a successful implementation.
LookOut Implementation Team
LookOut’s technical and development team supports Flex Implementation Consultant to ensure the success of the project.
During the implementation process additional requirements are likely to be uncovered. These will become part of Phase Two of the project and/or identified as add – on requirements.
