Flex utilizes a SharePoint Document Library to contain its document folders. Each document folder is assigned a unique identifier.
Documents are accessible from the Document Library or the Documents Sub-Grid for the item. They are also accessible from Windows Explorer or third party products such as Harmon.ie.
All folders related to a Record group appear together in the Document library and also under the parent item.
To turn on the above document folder structure where child items are displayed as sub folders rather than the standard Sub Grid check the configuration property “Show All Folders” located under the Behavior section of the Sub-Grid properties.
Note: SharePoint Attachments are not stored in a Document Library. Attachments must be viewed from the item they are attached to. (Search for the “Add Attachment” section for further information.)
All documents attached to child items, such as Contacts, roll up to the parent item (ie. Account) and are available from both locations.
Note: this feature can be turned off for Opportunity items only, which will stop documents attached to Opportunities rolling up. See Flex settings for documents at the end of this section.
