SharePoint Flex uses the People/Group field column for each list to manage owners of items, such as “Account Manager” for an Opportunity or “Assigned To” for a Task, and additionally within the Flex Protection system.
New People Picker
No longer do you have to struggle with the inefficient default SharePoint people picker field. Replace it with this one Setting. This feature was developed October 2015.
Setting Name: FlexPeoplePicker
Setting Value: True/False (Default is False)
Note: If the People/Groups field is configured to allow multiple selections, check boxes will appear in the people picker, but if it’s configured to allow only one selection then radio buttons will appear. In order to deselect or remove a person from the people picker, you will need to configure the column to allow multiple selections as shown below.
People Picker Exceptions
This is a very handy feature requested by a customer and one that makes us very happy at Head office. Restrict your People Picker to the actual users who are involved with Flex with this new Setting. This feature was developed June 2016.
Setting Name: FlexPeoplePickerExceptions
Setting Value: User/Group Names
As shown below, the users and groups that should not show on the People Picker list are entered into the Value of the setting.
Note: If the user names persist to show in the list check the naming convention of your User naming convention.
