This feature connects an email to an interaction using a hyperlink which makes the full email available from Flex.
When these steps are taking consecutively from the Outlook plugin, a hyperlink to the saved email message will appear in the “Details” field of the Interaction Display form, Interactions Sub-Grid and in the Data Viewer.
To achieve this objective, first use the “Save Email to Flex” option and follow through saving the email to the appropriate item.
From the Quick Actions window select “Create an Interaction” and follow through with these steps to create an interaction.
There is no Setting or configuration required for this feature. It uses the default “Details” field from the Interactions list. Do not delete this field if you wish to use this feature.
Email Link
This feature enables a hyperlink to be available from an Interaction to an Email when an email is saved with the Interaction. Follow these setup steps.
- Add two fields to the Interactions List: “Email Link” and “EmailLinkID” which the types as shown below.
- Open an Interaction’s Display page in Edit Mode and add “
#emaillink#” as shown below. - When an email is saved with the Interaction it will show as the Email Link shown below.
Note: The Email Link field will only show on the Display form when an email is connected to it. Otherwise, it is not shown.
