Managing Actions

Once a search result is presented a number of actions can be performed based on the specific type of Item. For example, different actions are available for a Contact than an Account.

Tip: Hovering over each icon displays the function.

Actions that are enabled for each Item are controlled via the “CreateNewAndSearchManager setting. This Setting replaced the “CustomMenuSettings” in March 2016.

As of April 2016 you can shut all Action icons off with this one QuickSearchShowActionIcons Setting with a value of True. To reverse this Setting change the value back to False.

Setting Name: QuickSearchShowActionIcons
Setting Value: True/False

Functional actions, such as Copy to Clipboard, Send Email, Go to Folder and Send details via Email, are also managed with their own individual Settings.

By default they will be shown on the Quick Search results unless the Setting is added with a value of False.
