It will depend on the purpose and role of the list which Settings will be required. For example, it’s important to be clear on whether the list is a Child to a Child list, a Child to an existing Flex Parent List or a Standalone List to figure out what settings might be required.
The best way to become familiar with the various settings is to review the Settings that exist in your Advanced Flex Settings list, along with reviewing the sections on Lists and Advanced Flex Settings.
Below we have listed the core common settings that a Flex list will have.
[ListName]Singular
This Setting is useful because it will ensure that your Flex system properly handles the singular use of the list name.
CreateNewAndSearchManager
Ensure there is a reference to your new list in this Setting. This will manage the Quick Search, Connection Search, Adding New Items, Child Items and more. Locate the details on this setting in this documentation for more guidance.
[ListName]ActionBarItems
If your new list is Embedded then you will need an Action Bar even if it’s a child list like a Task or Interaction.
[ListName]QuickActions
Review this section of the Guide to learn about this feature which provides the user with a next step after creating a new list item.
[ListName]DeleteRelated - With the January 2016 Update, this Setting is no longer required.
The requirements for this Setting will depend on the role your new list item plays. If it has child item then you will want to ensure they are listed under this setting so that no orphans are created.
