Flex Navigator

Flex Navigator makes “Dynamic and User-Specific” quick links to specific views. This feature addresses the need where users want to see their own specific Views and have the system remember where they were last.

Flex Navigator utilizes the Quick Launch feature of SharePoint which enables the launching of all sorts of filtered and non filtered lits.

Below is a screen shot of the Web Address used in a standard filtered List.

Below is an example of a List View using the Flex Navigator.

When the user clicks a link which is utilizing Flex Navigator it will take them to the default view for that list. When they change the View to their desired view it is now “remembered”.

Every time the user clicks the “Navigator-driven link” the View they last used will be pulled up. As in the screen below the Navigator is directed to the Accounts list. If one user of Flex had been using an “All Accounts” view and another user “My Accounts” view the Navigator will remember each user’s preference and subsequently present the last used View.
