An Action Icon to “Send details via Email” will appear on all Sub-Grid items if the List is configured to allow the “Send Via Email” feature. This feature was added in Spring of 2015.
Previously this function was available via the Action Bar, Quick Actions or through a link on the Sub-Grid header.
The icon can be used to quickly send Flex item details to someone else - perhaps they are reviewing a Case, an uncompleted Task, a sales-related Interaction, a Project that requires more detail or an Opportunity that has lapsed.
Selected Column field details are copied to an Outlook message which can then be forwarded to another recipient:
Note: This Action Icon is controlled for each list solely by the “[ListName]EmailFieldMapping” Advanced Flex Setting and cannot be configured for individual Sub-Grids (the Sub-Grid Setting “Show Send via Email” does not apply.)
