In order to configure what the Wizard searches for check the “QuickSearchListsAndFields“ Setting or the new “CreateNewAndSearchManager“ Setting (if you have implemented this new Setting).
Notice in the screen shot below the second section after the pipe controls what items are searched for. In the Accounts list you could search for an Account Name, Main Phone, Customer No, Main Contact or Website.
