Completing Tasks

Users often forget to complete Tasks. To encourage proper follow up, there are many locations within Flex to easily perform this step.

  1. On the Task Display Action Bar:

  2. On Task Sub-Grids – (Checkbox)

Once the either of the above options is used, the Task Status is automatically changed to “Completed”.

Task Date Completed

This feature enables the automatic update of the “Date Completed” Column Field whenever the status of a Task item is marked “Completed”:

Note: Once this feature is installed the completion date will auto populate for Tasks marked a “Completed” status going forward. It will not retroactively populate previously completed Tasks.

Setup

  1. Create a Column (Date and Time field) for the Tasks lists called “Date Completed”:

Note: The Column name must be “Date Completed” in order for this feature to work. After the column has been created initially, it can then be renamed.

  1. (Optional): Should you wish this field to be visible from the Task Display Form, add it in the desired position. It is not necessary to add this Column to the New and Edit forms since it automatically populates and should not be editable.
  2. When a Task item’s status changes to “Completed” the date will fill in. Add the “Date Completed” column to any desired view of the Task List:
