Review the options below to understand the features and functions of the Leads list and evaluate how/if this list can be useful for your business.
Setting Name: LeadsListMapping
Setting Value: Leads
The “Leads List Mapping” Setting is used to define the name of the Leads list. By changing this value, a number of other settings and configuration changes would need to be made. We do not recommend changing this list name as the “Convert to Account” process may be impacted.
Setting Name: LeadsActionBarItems
Setting Value: [Display Text]|[Icon File Name]|[ListName]
These are the items that appear on the Leads Action Bar.
Setting Name: LeadsCustomMenuItems
Setting Value: [ListName]|[Menu Text]|[Icon File Name]
The Custom Menu is available from the Lead View list. These items should correlate with the “Action Bar” setting.
Setting Name: LeadsDisplayFormLinkExclusions
Setting Value: [Field Names] separated by commas
This Setting controls which column fields will not contain shortcut edit links on the Lead Display. Use for any fields that are automated.
Setting Name: LeadsEmailFieldMapping

This Setting controls the fields that will auto populate in Outlook when the “Send to Email” feature is used on a Lead item. See Email Field Mapping (Send Via Email).
Setting Name: LeadsQuickActions (previously called LeadsNewFollowUp)

This Setting controls the Quick Actions options after creating a new Lead. (See Quick Actions System)
Note: The previous name for this setting was [ListName]NewFollowup. Either name will work.
Setting Name: InteractionsLeadQuickActions (previously InteractionsLeadsNewFollowUp)
Setting Value: [ListName]|Parent|[Display Text]
This setting controls the Quick Action options after an Interaction is created for a Lead.
The syntax for the Setting Value must be followed exactly as shown below, using [ListName]|Parent|[Display Text].
Note: The value |ThisItem| is not applicable in this instance since the follow-up options apply to the Parent Lead rather than the child Interaction item.
Setting Name: TasksLeadQuickActions (previously TaskLeadNewFollowUp)
Setting Value: [ListName]|Parent|[Display Text]
This setting controls the Quick Action options after a Task is created for a Lead.
The syntax for the Setting Value must be followed exactly as shown below, using [ListName]|Parent|[Display Text]
Note: The value |ThisItem| is not applicable in this instance since the follow-up options apply to the Parent Lead rather than the child Task item.
Setting Name: CompanyFieldNameInTask
Setting Value: Account
This is the field name used in the Task list to describe the company name field of the Lead. If the name of this field is changed then this setting value must correspondingly change.
Setting Name: CompanyFieldNameInLead
Setting Value: Company
This is the field name used in the Lead list to describe the company. A default value of Company is used to distinguish between an unqualified company and an Account or Prospective Account record.
Setting Name: AllowLeadCreation
Setting Value: True/False
This setting is used both for Flex and the Plugin to control lead creation. Please note the rather comprehensive use of values to determine the behavior.
If the Setting is present is not present then all users of Flex can create Leads.
- If the Setting is present and the Value is set to “true” then all users can create Leads.
- If the Setting is present and the Value is set to “false”, then NO ONE can create Leads.
3.If the Setting is present and the Values are set to a list of usernames or SharePoint group names, then only the users specified or the users in the specified groups may create Leads.
A. Example:
i. Tom
ii. Maryanne
iii. Contributors
B. This means that Tom and Maryanne and anyone in the Contributors group may create Leads.
Note: The “AllowLeadCreation” setting is read by the Outlook Plugin as well.
Setting Name: LeadsAddressFieldMappings
Setting Value: Add Company Address Fields
These are the field labels and the format desired to display the full Company address fields on the display page.
Setting Name: DeleteLeadAfterConvert
Setting Value: True or False
The setting “Delete Lead After Convert” has a default value of True which means that the lead item will be sent to the recycle bin for deletion once the conversion has taken place.
To change the default behavior and have the lead item remain in the Leads list change the default value to False.
Setting Name: QuickSearchShowNewLead
Setting Value: True/False
The above Setting will turn the “New Lead” button off the Quick Search to stop users from using this method to create new leads without first searching.
Note: If Leads are kept in the lead list you will want to ensure that users can differentiate between those that are converted and those that are not. Simply add a field to the Leads List called “Converted” (yes/no field). It will auto populate with YES when you convert the lead so you know which have been converted and which have not.

To change the behavior and not have an Opportunity created by default switch the Value of this Setting to false.

To remove the ability for an Opportunity to be created remove the text “Also create an opportunity” with this setting.

Setting Name: QuickSearchShowNewLeadWhenNoResults
Setting Value: True/False (Default is True)
To remove the New Lead option from the Quick Search when No Results are found add the above setting.
