When an Interaction is created from the Plugin and Flex has an Interaction Type set up in the list, the following box will appear by default. The choices presented are defined in the “Interaction Type” Column in the Interactions List Settings.
Note: This function is looking for an “inner” column field called either “I.Type”, “Interaction Type” or “Type of Interaction” (See example below):
You can change the Column name afterward but the inner name must be either of these or the feature will not work.
Column=Type of Interaction
Or
Column=I.Type
Or
Column=Interaction Type
If you want to use a completely different field name for the above feature add a setting as follows and enter the value of your choice.
Note: This Setting is not required if either of the 3 inner field names are used.
Setting Name: InteractionTypeMapping
Setting Value: [add a new of your choosing]
Turning off “Select a Type”
If the Select Type box is not required it may be turned off by with the following setting using a Value of False.
Note: It is not necessary to add this Setting unless you wish to turn this feature off.
Setting Name: OutlookPluginGetInteractionType
Setting Value: True/False (default is True)
Note: If you wish to use a different field name than the above three you will need to add a setting as below.
Setting Name: InteractionTypeMapping
Setting Value (Desired Field Name)
Adding Custom Fields
To add an additional Column field for the Interaction Type selection box follow these setup steps.
For this example we are using a Number field called “Time” from the Interaction list where the user could add time when converting or creating an Interaction.
To enable this feature, add the following Setting.
Note: Only ONE field may be added at this time.
Setting Name: OutlookPluginExtraCustomFields
Setting Value (Desired Field Name)
Note: If the “Select a Type” has been turned off and this setting has a value then only the Custom Field will be displayed:
