A SharePoint Alert Me (a native SharePoint feature) is automatically added to each Flex list’s Action Bar as shown below.
Configuration Notes
- Ensure email addresses are added to each user profile who should receive Alerts. If there is no email address added to their profile they will get an error message when trying to use this feature.
- Each user must configure their own SharePoint Alerts.
- From the Ribbon Bar locate the Alert Me button to configure SharePoint Alerts for each list or use the Alert Me shortcut from the Flex Action Bar.
The “AlertMeActionBarEnable” setting with a value of “Off” disables the Action Bar item “Alert Me” which will appear by default on each Action Bar. If no setting exists the “Alert Me” icon will be present.
Setting Name: ShowAlertMeOnActionBars (previously called: AlertMeActionBarEnable)
Setting Value: True/False (Default is True)
