Campaigns Flex Settings

As with all Lists within Flex, the Column fields in the Campaigns List can be adjusted to meet specific tracking and reporting needs.

The Campaigns system uses standard list settings (i.e., “CampaignsDisplayFormLinkExclusions“, “CampaignsListMapping“, “CampaignsSingular“) as well as the additional Advanced Settings outlined below.

Setting Name: AllowCampaignCreation
Setting Value: True/False

The above setting controls whether all users can create New Campaigns (Value is True), no users can create Campaigns (Value is False) or a select number of users can create Campaigns (add a List of SharePoint User Names).

Setting Name: CampaignsActionBarItems
Setting Value: [Display Text]|[Icon File Name]|[ListName]

This Setting controls the options appearing on the Action bar of the Campaign Display Form:

Refer to the “Action Bar” section for instructions on configuring the Action Bar.

Setting Name: CampaignsContactsConnectionReasons
Setting Value: Choice options, each on a separate row

This setting controls the options displayed for Connection Reasons when adding a Contact to a Campaign.

Setting Name: CampaignResultCodes
Setting Value: A list of result items, each on its own row

These are the outcomes that will be used from the Campaign Contacts Sub-Grid. Add relevant items for your Campaigns.

Note: This setting isn’t necessary if the new Multiple Result Code Scheme is implemented.

Setting Name: CampaignResultsListMapping
Setting Value: Campaign Results

This Setting is used to control the naming conventions used for the Campaign Results List. The Setting Name should never be changed. The Setting Value may be changed to another name.

Setting Name: ShowNewCampaignInQuickSearch
Setting Value: True/False (no setting will default to False)

This setting controls whether “New Campaign” button appears within the Quick Search (see example below). A setting of “False” disables the option and the button is not displayed.

Setting Name: NewItemWizardShowNewCampaign
Setting Value: True/False (default is true)

If you are using the New Item Wizard you can manage whether a Campaign can be launched from here. Set the Value to True to see the Campaign option or False not to see it.

Setting Name: WizardListSearchExceptions
Setting Value: [List Name]|DoNotSearch

If the New Item Wizard is configured on your site you will most likely wish to use this Setting to disable the automatic Search for Duplicates when creating a new Campaign. The New Item Wizard typically will search for duplicates and in the case of creating Campaigns this isn’t necessary.

Setting Name: TotalContactsFieldInCampaign
Setting Value: Total Contacts

This setting controls the “Total Contacts” field within the Campaign Display and automatically calculates the total number of Contacts in the Campaign. Each time new Contacts are added to the Campaign this field updates itself.

Note: If the field name is changed to something other than “Total Contacts”, then the value of this setting must be also be changed accordingly.

Don’t forget to reset the Application Cache when adding or changing any of the Advanced Settings.
