The Sub Grid Folder structure makes it easy for users to see all the folders and sub folders of a parent item.
To turn this feature on check “Show All Folders” in the Sub Grid web part properties under the Behavior section.
Without this setting the Document Sub Grid will appear as it has traditionally.
Using Drag and Drop
With this new Document folder users can use drag and drop to upload local files to a Flex folder. Lining up File Explorer the user can simply drag files onto target folders – a red highlight box will appear followed by a confirmation message when the upload is complete.
Note: Clients using SP 2010 on IE - the drag & drop function does not work with Internet Explorer, however it will work Chrome and Firefox. This feature does not support the moving of documents from one Flex folder to another.
When a Sub Grid is set to display a Document Library List then the format of the Sub-grid will automatically adapt to display the sub folders as shown. As with standard lists being displayed via a Sub Grid the settings to display columns etc can be applied to a Document Library list Sub Grid also.
