Dashboard Sub-Grid

The primary difference between a Sub-Grid on a Display Page and a Sub-Grid on a Dashboard is that the Dashboard Sub-Grid uses a SharePoint view to instruct which column values to display.

Using different List views on Dashboards is a common way to bring many different types of lists onto one Web Part page. With the additional features in Flex Sub-Grid, you can replace the limited list view with the more powerful and configurable Sub-Grid.

To add a Sub-Grid to the dashboard, follow the instructions as indicated in the Adding a Sub-grid section. However, you will need to ensure that the following properties in the Lists and Columns category are used as shown below:

  1. List Name (A)
  2. Title (if required) (B)
  3. View Name mandatory (C)
  4. Field names must be blank (D)

  5. Other Properties to be applied will depend on the list and use of the View. Review the “Web Part Properties” section of this Guide for additional options for the Dashboard Sub-Grid.
