Many of these Settings are the default for Flex templates distributed beyond 2015. To make changes to the default behaviors, follow the instructions below and change the Setting Values as applicable.
Setting Name: CalendarListMapping
Setting Value: Meetings (or Appointments)
This Setting is used to control the naming conventions used throughout Flex for Calendar items. Depending on your version the value may be “Meetings”, “Calendar Appointments” or “Appointments”.
The Setting Value may be changed to another name. (Search the “Changing a List Name” section of this Guide for further details.)
Setting Name: CalendarActionBarItems
Setting Value: [Display Text]|[Icon File Name]|[List or Action]
This setting controls the options for the Action Bar on the Calendar Meeting Item Display form. (Refer to the “Action Bar” section of this Guide for more information.)
Setting Name: CalendarQuickActions
Setting Value: [List Name]|[Parent]|[Prompt text]
This setting controls the Quick Actions options for the Calendar List. (Search the “Quick Actions” section of this Guide for more information.)
Note: The previous name for this setting was “CalendarNewFollowup”. Either name will work.
Setting Name: CalendarSingular
Setting Value: Calendar Item (Default)
This Setting controls the naming for a singular instance of the Calendar List.
Setting Name: OutlookPluginImportCalendar
Setting Value: True/False
The “Import Calendar” button appearing on the main Outlook Plugin toolbar in Outlook is controlled by this Setting. It enables the function of importing Calendar items from Flex to Outlook.
Note: The previous name for this setting was “OutlookPluginImportAppts”. Either setting will work.
Setting Name: OutlookPluginImportCalendarViewName
Setting Value: [View Name in Flex Calendar List]
The filters that are used to control which Calendar Items are imported into Outlook are controlled via this Setting. The default setting is “My Calendar”.
Note: The previous name of this setting was “OutlookPluginImportApptsViewName”. Either name will work.
Setting Name: CalendarColumnMapping
Setting Value: [Calendar List Field Name]=[Source List Field Name]
This Setting controls the Fields that are copied from a Calendar Item to Outlook when using the Quick Calendar Item feature.
Setting Name: ShowSubGridHidePastCalendarItems
Setting Value: True/False
This Setting controls the “Hide Past Calendar Items” check box on all Calendar Sub-Grids. The default behavior is that the box is checked. Use a Setting Value of False to remove the check box.
