If the creation of an Interaction in Flex uses the “copy down” function to copy a field value from a parent item (ie. Opportunity) these values will also be copied over when creating an Interaction from an Email using the Outlook Plugin, with this Setting.
In the Setting example below Flex has been configured to copy down the values from the Opportunity item which is selected in the Plugin Result pane when creating an interaction for that Opportunity:
- Opportunity Status
- Relationship Type
- TimeZone
Configuring
- Add the following Advanced Flex Setting.
Setting Name: OutlookPluginInteractionsCopyDown
Setting Value: [List of mapping pairs]
- Ensure that the “copy down” fields that are added to this Setting values have a Column Field in both the parent (ie. Opportunity) and the Interactions list.
Note: In the example above both column names are the same so there is no consideration required for which set of fields is first. If the names are not the same ensure that the Interaction field name is first as it draws from the parent.
