The Calendar in Flex works a little differently than the standard SharePoint Calendar because a parent item, such as a Contact, Account, Opportunity or Project, must be selected before the Calendar Meeting can be created.

There are several ways to create new Calendar Meetings:

1. From the New Item Wizard:
