This is the phase where you roll up your sleeves and begin to configure the base Flex Template to reflect your business needs and sales management. Here is when you will put into place the sales process, industry terminology, data screens, fields, list naming conventions and display forms.
All the best practices that you have determined throughout the previous steps will guide you forward in this step.
Depending on how involved your phase one roll-out is going to be OR how in-depth your use of Flex is will predict the extent of work required in this phase.
Remember that the entire process so far should have been creating a “simpler” system and not more complex. If there are complexities they should be in the background or in the infrastructure and not in the user process.
- Configure the base Flex Template to reflect your sales process, your industry terms, your data captures and your data import
- Import Account and Contact data into Flex
- The matching of process to technology
- Deliverable – Personalized and Configured Flex
This is the most comprehensive part of the implementation. There are a lot of features and functions in SharePoint Flex that can be configured.
