To manage Setting types, we have set up two grouping fields. These are not required and do not influence the Setting in any way. Their purpose is simply to assist with locating specific types of Settings.
- Setting Type – Groups similar types of settings, such as all items that Map values, contain Action Bar items, Custom Menu Items, and Connections, etc.
- Module – Puts all Flex list items together such as all Accounts, Opportunities, Contacts, and Leads.
Adding New Types and Modules
If you add a new Custom Embedded list will want to keep all related Settings together for ease of locating them later. Alternatively, if you change the name of an existing List you may want to align their grouping method with the new list name.
- Go to the Advanced Flex Setting list.
- Click just below the Column Heading bar in order for the List tools to appear in the top ribbon.
- Select “List Settings”.
- Select “Module” and add your new List name into the “Choice” section.
- Click “OK”.
