General Features

The Outlook Plugin has many features. This section outlines the General Features available.

Convert Email Body to Interaction/Task

Convert the body of an email into a text based interaction or task item and attach it to any list item in Flex.

Saving Emails

  1. Save .msg file (email) to any Flex List item, including custom embedded lists.
  2. Connect .msg file to an Interaction or Task in Flex.

Create New Items

Create new items for core Flex lists:

  1. Accounts
  2. Opportunities
  3. Contacts
  4. Interactions
  5. Tasks
  6. Meetings
  7. Leads
  8. Projects

Importing From Flex to Outlook

  1. Import Flex Tasks into Outlook Tasks.
  2. Import Flex Calendar items into Outlook Calendar.
  3. Import Flex Contacts into Outlook Contact List.

Calendar Meetings

  1. Create a Meeting in Outlook and save a copy to Flex.
  2. Create a Meeting in Flex and copy to Outlook.
  3. Update Flex Meeting items that were created in Outlook from within Outlook.
  4. Save Outlook Meetings to Flex but don’t Send Email to Recipient.
  5. Delete a Meeting in Outlook and Update Flex.

Contacts

  1. Copy Outlook Contacts to existing Flex Accounts (searches for duplicates).
  2. Import Flex Contacts into Outlook Contacts folder using either a common or personal List View.
  3. Create New Contacts for existing Accounts while processing an Email.

Other Features

  1. From the Plugin to Open Flex
  2. Perform Flex Quick Actions after processing an email to Flex.
  3. View in Flex – View/Edit Account or Contact items from inside an Outlook email messages.

Note: To turn on this function, you’ll need to add a setting called OutlookPluginShowViewInFlexButton, and set the value to true.
