When using Flex from the web the functionality of the Copy Down will enable the configuration of copying parent values to child items. When using the Outlook Plugin however the Copy Down functionality is not available.
This feature was added to enable an Interaction to receive Copy Down values when it is created using the Outlook Plugin.
To further explain, let’s say you have a “copy down” field from an Opportunity to an Interaction such as “Opportunity Type”. When an Interaction is created directly from the Opportunity this field value will be filled but when the Interaction is created using the Plugin, the field value was not previously recognized.
Using this Setting, you can define field values that the Plugin needs to copy into an Interaction.
Setting Name: OutlookPluginInteractionsCopyDown
Setting Value: list of mapping pairs
Note: the syntax shown above which defines the value from the parent (in this case an Opportunity – “Type of Opportunity”) to the child Interaction (in this case “ I.Type”). Be careful to use the correct syntax which is shown above and that the field names are correct for your purpose.
